Cannabidiol (CBD) is a cannabis and hemp derivative, but it has little in common with the marijuana that has been lauded and vilified in American society for much of the past 100 years. Vitally, CBD doesn’t have an intoxicating effect on the user, but it does appear to have a multitude of therapeutic properties.
Furthermore, CBD products are overwhelmingly made from the hemp plant, which may be botanically regarded as cannabis, but naturally contains minimal levels of psychoactive tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). These CBD products are legal according to federal law, despite typical marijuana still being categorised as a Schedule 1 substance. Legal uncertainties surrounding CBD products were cleared up in the 2018 farm bill, which was passed by the Trump administration.
With hemp and CBD now legal across the nation, many people are wondering about flying with CBD products.
